Best one ever. Since moving to the country we have few neighbours, all very good and willing to help, but only 1 small child. He came tonight , dressed as a skeleton, complete with pumpkin lantern. Gave him a lovely treat, and as for fireworks, haven`t heard one yet, our dog thinks he`s in heaven.
Far better than in the town where you get teenagersdoing trick or treat just to extract money for booze and drugs.

Same here. We only got a few groups. There's only high schoolers in this area except for a few families, and half of them are afraid to let their children out. It's so sad. I miss the good ol' days. There was a trick or treater at every single house every single second of Halloween! And there was this bus that always came that carried about 50+ kids. It's only 8:00. I haven't gotten a trick or treater for the last half hour. *sighs*

Hey more candy for yourself. :P Wait...its only 5 o'clock. Trick or Treaters don't come until dark. But the record highest amount of kid for us was 60 and the record small was around 11. We normally get around 20, but they are in big groups so it seems like less.

You lucky thing. Tell me where you live, I'll be round in a mo lol
I took my 2 kids out for trick or treat but only went to houses that were decorated for halloween. I love it. Left hubby in with bag of sweets for anyone who came to my house.
I am totally with you about the fireworks though. There are alot of idiots out there who just throw them in the street etc and set them off at stupid o'clock. It's annoying. ggrrr

In Milwaukee, like some cities, different neighborhoods schedule their trick or treating for different days and times. My 3 yr old had gone out three seperate times already by sunday! And I know that my step bro went out today. So, it may not have been you. But other than that, I agree. Fireworks during my sleepy time make me angry, too.

my 1 year old dressed as a fairy, she didn't like the costume or that flower hat that went with it, she was deathly afraid of the trick-or-treaters, we still have a huge bowl full of candy, and my dog is scarying away most people, even though she is tied up away from the house.

I am hiding out. Actually I'm here online! My porch light is off so they don't come. My friends who live next door are giving candy to all the kids in the hood.

Personally I think it's sad that kids can't trick or treat anymore. When I was a kid we went trick or treating for hours and brought home huge pillowcases full of candy.
