We should have tax-payed bureaucrats with photography equipment at the coyote crossings, ready to process drivers licenses and social security cards.
What the heck, also WIC applications, AFDC/food stamp applications, section 8 housing applications. Hand out lists/maps of hospitals with ER's.
Put it all in a welcome packet called "We'll never enforce our immigration laws, welcome to the US".

God forbid we discriminate against criminals - it just wouldn't be PC.
Perhaps we should just hand out green cards along with a VISA, SS#, driver's license, Blue/Cross Blue/Shield cards and give them a vehicle while we're at it.
I hope that this suggestion doesn't make it to the Senate floor for debate.

Not from what I've seen. Apparently the enforcement of traffic laws is not as strict in South American countries, so a lot of the drivers that come here from there tend to ignore some of the traffic laws, sometimes with disastrous consequences. I don't think we should be passing out driver's licenses to ANYBODY that can't pass a driving test - foreign or otherwise.

aparrently. i mean, jeeez, they don't know our traffic laws, don't have insurance, and are hrere illegally, SO, heck yeah, give 'em drivers liscenses! PERFECT! what else you gonna do, you know? i mean, gosh, they just wanna work. what's the problem?
and another thing, what about all the poor people who are U.S. citizens who have lost their drivers liscense? well they are out there driving anyway without insurance and obviously can't drive, right? well why not give them their drivers liscense's back? i mean, they just wanna work, right? poor poor babies!
and since when did "just wanting to work", become an excuse for anything?
