There is a large orange spider in SF CA and I would love to know what it is

To classify any insect, arachnid - for that case - any arthropod (BUG) you need a lot more detailed description but you should check this site:

I can come up with only two possibilities. Daddy long legs are orangeish and can be quite large. But a wind scorpion(also called sun scorpion) looks like a spider and is up to 2" long. Its kind of cool and wet in SF for them but otherwise I don't know.

well sorry i do not no as where i live we do not see orange spiders hope filly some one will have that answer for you good luck
