My fellow NAVY shipmate is married, paying child support, and his wife still wants more even though she is financially stable. The child she's carrying is not even my friend's; it is some other guy's.

The court system and his lawyer says he is to pay both of their house mortgages, plus the child support, plus his own expenses. Is there a 'special' way he can keep fighting to have her pay her part?

His lawyer is right. You should stay out of it. I assume that she took her own children, her own home, her own money as well? You are not looking at this from the best interest of all, which is understandable because he is your friend and you don't know her.

If he has been to see a lawyer..apart from getting a different lawyer I don't think so. As for the child she is expecting he can demand a DNA test as soon as the child is born. If it turns out it is not his. I believe she will have to pay whatever she received for the child expected.

that is one of the most messed up rulings ever. firstly, get him to get a new a better lawyer if not two, if one get a female lawyer. second file for an appeal, send the judge in for re-evaluation cause that is one dangerous judge to be on the bench. have him order a paternity test and then his obligation will be cancelled, he can even get his money back. if he didnt cheat then he shouldnt lose anything, the assests depending on the situation would be split up equally. if she cheated then she would lose.

He needs to get another lawyer and a DNA test done.perhaps on all the children if he is in the Navy and gone at times. perhaps none of the children are his and he won't own her a thing.

If he is married he is obligated more by the military than anything else to ensure he cares for his dependents. His best bet is to file for a divorce, prove paternity of the child being carried by DNA immedietly upon birth. As long as he stays married it will be easy for her to get what she wants from him and fact is she probably knows it.

Oh, I hate hearing these stories especially when the man is getting screwed so bad. He picked the wrong women to begin with and now he is paying the consequences. Since their are consequences to every action lets just hope she has a big one waiting for her in the near future.
