Hi. The plug will have a small plastic tab that locks it in place. Use a small probe (dental pick, tiny screwdriver) to push the tab toward the plug. Should allow it to free up.

Hammer, chisel, drill and drill motor.
Does not sound right does it?

I am just curious, care to elaborate some more?

Take a tweezers, there is a clip like on the rj45 cable, depress the clip and it should pop out.
The alternative would be to get a very slim shim of wood and try depressing the clip.

Wait a minute you got the phone cord stuck in the network connector didn't you!?
