I apologize for offending anyone, and for using the word "slutz"--but dont you think that the Bratz Dolls are a tad but TOO sexy for pre-teens and adolescents?

The heavy makeup & hollywood "lip injections look" makes them look more like they're going to work the Sunset Strip than play dress-up with a 5 year old.

What do you think?

yes.. i think they give little girls the wrong impression of what beauty is. plus if you ever look at their clothes it's either super tight pants or short shorts/skirts.

Totally agree. Just encourage 6 year olds to grow up to be "just like the dolls." I mean, they have enough pressure from the media as it is. When I was 5, thankfully Bratz were not invented yet, so I had my Barbies. At least Barbies had careers. And what do Bratz have? Shirts that barely cover their torso and giant heads that are bigger than their bodies.

I agree. The Bratz Babyz run around in "sexy" underwear and little bitty t-shirts. I have tried not to make a big deal about it in front of my daughters, they have some of the dolls themselves. I do not allow my girls to dress that way. But like I said, if you don't make too big of a deal about it in front of the kids, and have control over what your girls wear, all will be okay.

If you say what you think, why the heck should you feel you should apologize. Because some feeble minded idiot thats constantly looking for a reason to be offended might their little panties in a wad? If its a simple statement of a fact let them get offended if they cant deal with it. Personally though I love sluts, as long as they are at least 18

Many people currently consider the Barbie dolls from the 50's and 60's to be "pornographic" and "demeaning to women" with their nearly impossible bust and waist lines, but keep in mind the styles of those days: women *did* look like that, at least, with their clothes on! ;)

Today, toy manufacturers are simply catering to current trends and consumer whims. Fashion dictates that the Bratz look like supermodels (again, unrealistic for the vast majority of girls, but, ultimately, harmless).

I have watched the Bratz movies while babysitting my pre-teen nieces, and have found the girls portrayed in no slutty fashion, whatsoever. Although I was bored with the story lines, I didn't find anything offensive about it.

There are plenty of similar cartoons showing unrealistic figures (e.g., there was a toon about boy and girl fairies or witches who go to a witch school, or something like that; I *think* it was called "Wynx", but don't quote me on that), but, again, they are harmless.

As a general rule, kids don't look at themselves in the mirror, and wonder why they don't look like cartoons or dolls! It takes an adult to mess up their minds! ;)

Its not just the fact that they are supposed to look so perfect its also the fact that they can do everything!
They are not only 'apparently' super cool, beautiful and sexy they know almost every type of martial arts, can ride skateboards, rollerblades, drive cars, Ice skate, design clothes, magazines, pass exams and the list carries on.

Sets an impossible target for girls who actually admire the bratz.

Its sick! They are one of the problems to girls low self esteems.

YES! Ugh. In the movie - aimed at 4 year olds, mind you, one of the characters says:

I can't commit to just one boy!
So many boys, so little time!

THIS is what we want gradeschoolers to think is cool? The people who designed "Trampz" or "Slutz" or whatever should be ashamed of themselves. I'm tired of literally rushing through one aisle of the toy store when I'm with my kids, so they don't see those dumb dolls.

yeah, they look like streetwalkers and their face has too many botox injections/drag queen make-up, so they make barbie look like a plain jane lol bratz resemble Lisa Rinna, especially the swollen fish lips.

Its not the Bratz's fault, they can't help the way the look... the company created them like that, so.. write them a letter if you feel that strongly about it.

The thing is to not support the companies who produce these products - dont buy them if they are offensive to you.
Unfortunately you cant isolate your children from all these influences - they mix with kids at school and elsewhere who are allowed to play with these things and therefore your children will still be exposed to it all.
Its a no win situation...
