Since U.S. society is highly mobile, some people favor a national registration system, so that voters registration follows them to a new state when they move. what do you think of this idea....and why??

Not a good idea. It is easy to register in a new state when you have established a permanent residence.
It is easy to vote absentee if you are away from your normal state of residence.
Such a law would be unnecessary and opens up new opportunities for voter fraud. Also, election laws vary from state to state and there is no standardization at this time. It could be quite confusing and inconvenient for the voter if the state where he is currently located has some policy that would render his ability to vote null and void.

See, this is what I thought about Blockbuster video. I've lived in lots of different places, cities, states and it really pisses me off when I have to re-register at a new location every single time I move. Which is why I say "yes" to a national blockbuster card, and "yes" to a national voter registration card. Did that sound like a stump speech?

Since it's not that difficult to register to vote in a new state (with Motor Voter, you can register when you change your driver's license), why do we need a national registration system?
