Yes, it is. The feedback system is simple, yet, very effective. If you have a situation where you're unsure of something, there's an Answer Centre, that's similar to Y! Answers, and they can answer your question better than most folks here can.

I have used Ebay for many things. I have never been scammed yet. I think the safest way to use it though is with pay pal and also buy insurance. Also look at the buyers and sellers scores and comments before you buy from them, just so you can see if their honest and respected. Their are tons of video games and accessories. I always buy xbox games from ebay, usually the games are like new with no scratches.

There is a mixed bag of sellers and buyers. I have been scammed on there a couple times, but have had successful purchases hundreds of times.
Just be sure to look at the feedback of the seller, and only pay through Paypal. If you just send payment, you risk never seeing your money or the product again. But Paypal backs up your payments.

Yeah. When you consider how many people use eBay and how little you hear about people having problems with it, I would have to say yes, chances are it is safe.

I'd be more worried about PayPal. After using eBay recently and paying through PayPal, my card was compromised and used via PayPal to charge $750. I never actually lost my card, so it was taken by someone else (maybe a waiter or cashier). Either way eBay kicks ****, just watch your account(s).

yes it is completely safe to join and they never give out your information. all you have to go it watch out for sellers who sell counterfit items.

yes ...and sign up with paypal to pay for whatever ...let paypal set you up with account so that it will debit your bank account for purchase made this way u never have to use credit card ..
