Amityville Horror, that one scares the squids out of you. Amazing horror movie. I'd also recomend Gothika and Dead Silence, of course also saw I-III and hostels I and II.
Also watch Silent Hill for an epic terror movie. Watch 28 weeks later, but watch the first one, 28 days later, first.
Oh, also 1408 with John Cusack and Samuel L Jackson.
Watch these in complete darkness and full volume. Alone...

The Saw Trilogy, but if you do not interesting in slasher movie, you can watch The Ring (Japanese Version) or The Blair Witch Project.
