Every presidency has scandals.
Reaganomics or Trickle down economics worked.
It gave tons of money back to companies to grow their businesses start more research and development and thus create a lot of jobs. Where did all the R&D for the new drugs, internet, electronics come from, We had a huge technology boom in the 80s and 90s that can be correlated to Reagan's economic plan.
As far as the Jesus comparison, I assume you are referring to the slogan WWRD, or What Would Reagan Do, as compared to WWJD, or What Would Jesus Do.
As Christians use WWJD to remind them of Jesus's values, Conservatives use WWRD to remember to follow Reagan's traditional conservative values. i.e less government, less social welfare, and more personal liberties.
He also won the cold war, by outspending and bankrupting the soviets and the growth in businesses in the country created the taxes to pay for this, unlike the democrat plan of increasing taxes on everything and reducing business
All that said, dumb loaded question

You are forgetting the onset of the AIDS crisis too. He ignored that. He also doubled the national debt in a single year (President Carter had cut it in half). Conservatives liked Reagan because they agreed with what he thought. To them, those are "the good old days", but they really weren't. The national debt not only doubled in the first year, it kept rising after that. So much for being a "fiscal" conservative - it was a lie that is still believed, with the mushrooming national debt being ignored. Ask the victims of the AIDS crisis what they thought of Reagan. Reagan is not Jesus, and never will be. For one thing, Jesus was Jewish, and if he was real, lived 2,000 years ago.

Well golly gee! Reaganomics was a success. Highest continued economic growth for the longest period of time. The term Reaganomics was originally coined to be a slur but ended up being a compliment to those who followed his path. Tickle down economics works and is standard capitalism. You reward the people who create the engines of wealth and they build more and hire more and pay more... It's called incentive. If you know the government will take half or more of what you create and give it to those who create nothing, why in the world would anyone want to own or start a business. And just for the record...no one has compared Reagan to Jesus on the Republican side. Just half wits who don't see the good he did.
By the way...this is a quote for Zinger from Wikipedia: "During this period, approximately 125,000 Cubans arrived at the United States' shores in about 1,700 boats"

Boy the Cynic knows how to copy and paste from Moveon.orgs web site. Total fabrication.

Reagan is generally regarded in the UK as an incompetent imbecile who had struggled to string a sentance together.
My overriding image is of him calling Princess Diana Princess 'David'. In addition, if you look very carefully at the old footage of him being sworn in as President when he is asked to raise his right hand, I SWEAR for just a second there is that moments hesitation/confusion from Ron.
