Cindy is correct. Mirabelle -- this spelling -- comes from the Latin mirabilis, meaning "wonderful." Mirabel is a common variant.

There's also a very similar Spanish name, Maribel, which is literally a combination of Maria and Isabel. I'm assuming you wanted Mirabel(le) here, but figured it was worth mentioning. ;)

The spelling is "Mirabel" or Mirabelle (which I prefer) and means lovely and wondorous in Latin or French which are the origins of the name.

I know a little girl with this name and she comes from an eqyptian family and is the cutest little thing!
