For most people, the main con is that it's expensive, but if you're living on the west coast, it's probably not too bad in that respect.
It's going to be colder than you're used to. The dry air also gets to some people. Traffic is worse than you would expect.
But the skiing is good, there are not only a lot of brewpubs but a lot of *GOOD* brewpubs, and the people are friendly.

Pros - friendly people, clean nice city, beautiful weather and no humidity!!!! Sun shines in average 300 days/year (some places say 250 days, but I truly think it's closer to 300). It snows in the winter, but most of the time melts the next day.
You get 4 seasons, which is fabulous.
Traffic is not as bad as Atlanta, Los Angeles, New York or other bigger cities -- yes we have a rush hour, but it's manageable, trust me! We also have a light rail system that is wonderful.
Housing in Denver can be pricey, but go outward to the 'burbs and you can find a gorgeous 2 bedroom 2 bathroom relatively new condo for $150-$200K...
www.myfoxcolorado.com - my opinion the best weatherman on TV in Denver is Chris Dunn.
www.thedenverchannel.com - another news station I like.
The links above can give you ideas for housing, jobs, nightlife, etc.
You will love it here.
Good luck!

Pros: Beautiful weather (not uncommon to have 50-degree days in December), beautiful mountains, near-by various mountain recreation, several cultural activities, many cool neighborhoods, good restaraunts, lots of little micro-breweries, nice people, fun places to shop, slower pace of life.
Cons: It can get pretty cold at times (but never lasts too long, because the sun always shines here), dry air (stock up on lotion), expensive real-estate.
