The side of my throat felt a little achy starting a couple days ago (Mon. 10-29) My entire throat is not sore. When I look in the mirror I can see a swollen gland on the right side of my throat that feels very irritated when I talk or swallow. It's probably 3 - 4 times its size. I slept with the fan facing me last night and ever since then my throat hurts more and my lungs ache a little when I breath. My question is.. what could this be signs of and should i see a doctor immediately incase its strep?

it does just sound like a swollen gland,if its sore and just on the one side,i used to get that all the time at one stage..it doesnt take that long to go away when you start treating it.. just go the chemist and try some good throat lozzanges like strepsils or you can get antiseptic throat sprays that help also, they will tell you the best thing they have for it anywayz when you go there..but if you that worried just go to the doc's they just might give you antibiotics for it

I wouldn't worry about Strep. It's not it. You need a fever. The swollen issue could be a cyst or pocket of pus. I would go to the ED or clinic immediately. You may need antibiotics.
