If she is ok with you taking the baby a couple days a week, and she is not breastfeeding, then go ahead and give her a break. She needs it, and you need to bond with the baby.
You can also visit constantly.
I respect you for wanting to be a stand up kinda guy. Do the right thing by her and the baby.
Good luck!

Well, a father figure should be there as often as possible. For you to see your baby, normally it is the girlfriend's choice. If you do not live together, I would suggest being with the baby as often as possible, even if you volunteered to babysit when your girlfriend needed it. Taking care of a child full time is a big responsibility for anyone, and normally many underage parents choose to put their babies up for adoption. It's sort of up to the girl to say when you get to visit.
Newborns need constant attention, because they are in such a delicate state. The primary figure to be with the baby is the mother, because a baby needs the nutrients from its mother's breast-milk. Taking the baby overnight without the mother is a bit of a bad idea, but spending as much time with it as possible is the best answer for you.
Just remember, babies may be a joy to the world, but it can ruin almost everything for someone underage. Be sure to use a condom every time, and discuss with your partner the choices for pregnancy if anything comes up. You've got your entire future ahead of you, and trust me, when you have a child, many unfulfilled dreams are taken by your child's.

Why not get married? You can get married underage. It's great that you want to be involved with the baby, but the best way to do that is get married. It provides the child with the most stability and trust for his parents to be married. Now, if your girlfriend isn't pregnant yet, don't try for a baby. Get married, even if it's the day after you're 18, make sure your financially responsible and ready for a baby, and then go for it. Abstinence is the best way to keep her from getting pregnant.

Here's a better idea, don't get your underage girlfriend pregnant in the first place. Did you not just see on tv that kid who was sentenced to 10 years in jail after he had consentual sex with his girlfriend when he was 17 and she was 15. HELLO!!!!!!
I can't believe any idiot would actually plan to get an underage girl pregnant. This is just so stupid.

in the beginning it might be easier if the baby just stays with her, especially if she is breastfeeding. Of course you should be there as much as you can. Once the baby is a little bit older and drinking from a bottle I think it would be great if she spent some nights with you

As an infant, you can only visit constantly, unless she stays with you. You have to wait until the baby is able to feed off a bottle before you should keep it overnight.

You two would be the parents you should decide. If she is nursing you should wait atleast three weeks before you introduce a bottle or you can confuse the baby. But if you both feel comfortable then i say go for it!

Just don't get her pregnant...and this won't be a problem..if she is already pregnant..then you need to be there for her..and the baby as much as you can...you just don't get a girl pregnant..then leave her..thats not how it works..raising a baby is a lot of work..and would be very difficult to do on her own..BE THERE. SUPPORT HER!.

You have to bond with your child but this should happen in accordance with his breast feeding schedule. He needs both parents. The living arrangement is with mom while in infantancy, however its your place to be there every single day. You can give her breaks, and together bond with your child. Your a dad, be a dad be there. Rich or poor.

You should make arrangements to live together, she's definitely going to need your help 24/7 not just when you have the time.
