I let them get away with that now and again. I work from home so I don't really care so long as they are doing well at school in general which they are. Once a month is not a big deal. Everyone needs a day off now and again.

If you trust him then its not a problem, if you don't then you need to work on that.

Take him to the doctors lol if hes not really sick he will probably not want to go, and it kinda depends how old he is.

If this is happening alot then you should ask whats going on at school, he may be being bullied.

It could be an infection, so don't take it lightly.

But if he said it, and not ask for it...he running a
scam on you. I did it too as a kid...I used diarrhea as an excuse all the time.

Take care.

I'd tell him to get out of bed and make him go to school. Then make a doctors appt. for him. If he's fine and just faking it, punish him after the doctor appt.

I would probably believe him as I don't have problems with my kids not wanting to go to school, usually if they don't want to go to school there is something wrong with them.

How bad is it? How old is he? Is he old enough to tell how bad it is? Maybe it's not but he needs a mental health day.

"Let me see your ear" is the first thing I'd say.
