i am using ortho-lo and its my 1st month,, there is 4 more active pills left ,so meaning i will get my period in 4 days, but i have red/brown spotting now .. what does that mean

Your body is just getting use to the pill... you will be okay..

Just keep taking them at the same time everyday.. you body will get into the correct flow of things after a couple of packs...

you are ok.

In your first month it doesn't mean a thing - your body is still adjusting. If you still get the same thing when you've been on this pill for three months, then you may need a stronger pill. I had to try 5 or 6 different pills for at least 3 months each before I found one that didn't give me breakthrough bleeding.

It means that your body is still trying to adjust to being on the medication. It can take up to 3 months to fully adjust to being on the pill, but I would recommend checking with your doctor as well to see what they say.
