buy a shirt that says " IM AN ESKIMO!" LEAVE ME ALONE.... and then see what happens..... then you'll be sad cause people are going to make fun of you rather than just mistaking who you are!!!

Don't get mad, it's really a compliment if they're speaking Spanish to you. Just nod if you don't understand Spanish. If you have time to talk to an individual, tell them thank you, but you're Eskimo from (fill in the blank). That should start an interesting conversation! In America, we are very diverse. Many people get mistaken for different nationalities based on appearance. This is very common. Just use this as an opportunity to talk to people if you have time. Best wishes! :D

Well, kindly correct them. When I tell people I am from Alaska, they say " I did not know there were black people in Alaska" are you an Eskimo?"

I have the same problem. I am mixed black and white. People have always assumed that I spoke Spanish.

Honestly, it used to annoy me too. So much so that I took French in school instead of Spanish.

Just smile and say, "Sorry, I don't speak Spanish." It gets less annoying over time.

look at them really confused and say..."uh, i, (look around for a second) sorry what?"
They should get the hint
or you could just stare at them and ignore them
