Truly he is wise. I wonder if all scouts in the NHL know so much. I have a hard time imagining someone knowing more about hockey than LITY. It's amazing, he's right ALL the time when it comes to stats. People may disagree with him on how good certain players were, but again, he was a scout, so he probably does know more than you.

Ah, yes, cyrenaica, the only person that I know that knows more about stats then you LITY. lol. Yes, stats do not tell the whole story. It depends on what kind of stats though.

TBL, I agree with you 100%. Ever since he joined up over the summer, I found myself learning more about hockey through his answers than I could with any book or so-called analyst. To me, his knowledge is a perfect companion to the NHL channel on XM radio. LITY definitely knows his sh!t and then some! I enjoy reading his answers whenever someone poses a good hockey question here.

It's not about best answers.............it's about providing knowledge :)
If I never get another best answer again...I wouldn't care.
Besides, my list of detractors seems to be growing :)
Zap, I've always been partial to #9 (Richard, Howe, Hull, Zach Parise, etc)
Mike, most scouts and GMs know as much as I do, if not more.............and their job is easier these days. In my day (the 70s and 80s) it was not uncommon to watch a Marlies game on a Saturday afternoon, and a Kitchener Rangers game on a Saturday night, and a London Knights game on a Sunday afternoon, and a Windsor Spitfires game on a Sunday night, and in the mid-70s, the Red Wings had Monday night as a preferred home dat so I would end the weekend with a Red Wings game. Nowadays, they see 2-3 games a week live, and watch 10-15 games on tape, and scour the internet.
and again, Cyrenaica is the stats guy.................but stats only tell part of the story....right Mike?!?!?!

He blew by me like I was standing still.
I still like calling him the Mayor of Hockeytown (whereever the hell it is, which for me is right here).
