I got my ears pierced about 2 weeks ago now, and have been wearing the titanium studs I was pierced with. Today I bought 14 kt gold studs, and I wanted to know if I cleaned them and my ears B4hand, can I change to the gold studs? Or is it too soon? If it is too soon when can I change?
They don't hurt when I turn them, how do I know if their healed?
Thanks ahead of time.

Wait SIX WEEKS, minimum, until they are completely healed.
They may not hurt, but they are not healed.
Piercings heal from the inside, and if you take them out, it may not hurt, but putting new ones in almost certainly will - the holes are still open inside the flesh of your ear.
1]Circle six weeks from piercing date on calendar
2] On that date, get your alcohol and swabs ready. Carefully swab the new earrings with alcohol, to clean them.
3] reove first earrings, and clean with a new swab and alcohol.
4] take a shower, and wash hair, ears, etc.
5] carefully put new earrings in. Put old ones in earring case.
WEAR earrings AT ALL TIMES for 6 to 12 months, so holes stay open, and intact.

it can take 6-7 weeks the reason they say is because if the stalk of the stud is a different size to the one your pierced with it can cause problem ie infections, just wait for a bit longer!!!

I was told not to change mine for two months, but I changed them in four weeks, and they were fine. I'd wait another week and a half just to be safe. I think that it depends on where the peircing is on your ear sensitivity wise. But good choice buying gold, just in case of allergies.

when i got my periced i changed them after 4 1/2 weeks and its been years and they still are a bit problem-atic. WAIT AS LONG AS YOU CAN STAND. it will be better in the long run just in cause, even if people say its fine.

but i would say at least 6 weeks. if not longer. after awhile earings arn't a big deal, but i remember wanting them soooo bad. have fun with them!

you need to wait the recommended 6 weeks or else you could infect your ears. Be patient

Well, you have to wait 6 to 12 weeks, and it really depends on your skin, and how senstive it is.
