My boyfriend is going to be spending Thanksgiving with his family, daughter and ex-wife. I will not be invited, so what should I do for Thanksgiving? I'm not going to give him a hard time about him going, and me having the days off. I don't want to go home either, so what should I do?

Okay am I just crazy but I would be pissed if my boyfriend was going to spend Thanksgiving with his ex and their child. The child I understand but not the ex. Is he doing this so the "family" can be together. Can't his daughter spend time with both families?

Don't you have some other relative or friend's house that you might get invited to? If not, I guess I'd just do something like what I'd normally do if I had a night alone... go to a restaurant, bar, anything that's open. Go to a movie. Go on a short trip out of town.

I'll tell you what you do, smarten up. Do not take a back seat to this mans intentions. Since your just a lowly gf, don't take this guy so seriously, hes not. Get a clear picture of whats going on, you have room for other men suitors. This relationship is by no means written on stone. Call me mystified in Seattle over women who take the back seat. Do you realize you will hate the money flying out the window also, besides his last relationship dictating holidays etc. Mind Bloggling that you don't at least flirt with another man senario.

You should be with your family and/or friends.

I've been married 32 years and my husband and I have never spent Thanksgiving together.

We go home to our respective extended families for that day and then we go away on a long weekend together.

This has worked fine for us....everyone has to find what works for them....and as long as they agree....it's good.

Treat yourself out to nice dinner and a movie....or rent a movie and watch it at home.... Sorry you will be alone...and hopefully this will not be what your boyfriend does each Thanksgiving...

You better get some dressing and a bottle of Grey Goose. You will have lots of fun on Yahoo! Answers while he is gone with his real family.
