Yes, I do. I put a lot of effort into decorating and lighting my pumpkins, all for the enjoyment of the trick or treaters, and I would be pretty p-offed if somebody came to my house and smashed them.....all that time and effort gone within the blink of an eye. But, I do usually have my door wide open, with lots of lights on, so if somebody did try something, I would definetly catch them.

Halloween is for dressing up, eating candy and having fun - not smashing pumpkins!

Of course I do. Families and people work hard to carve the pumpkins, and they cost money to buy them. To have them smashed by a reckless person or group is just plain rude, and should not be done. If they want to smash pumpkins, they should buy their own and do it in their backyards, where they can pay for the pumpkins AND clean up the mess afterwards.

XOXO,
Laurie

yeah. most people with pumpkins get them because they have kids. if you were a kid and your pumpkin got smashed, wouldnt you be upset. if that happened to me that pretty much ruin my night because it takes time, money and effort to make those.

Completely inappropriate.
Any ancient Celt would tell you that the pumpkins are there to welcome their dead ancestors and scare off evil spirits- so if those poor families fail to reunite with their dead loved ones, or worse are tormented by meaner-spirited evil baddies than you, it's all your fault.

Go ahead... just so long as either..

a) They are YOURS to begin with, and YOU clean it all up by the next day.

b) You don't mind getting arrested if caught.
