to adopt a chimpanzee? i know that you can do it like where you just get a photo and stuff like that, but i mean actually adopt one. thank you!!!!

There are a few states in the US that do allow it, however it requires many permits.
Not to mention EXOTIC ANIMALS DO NOT MAKE GOOD PETS! Chimps are extremely strong and their teeth are not anything to mess with. They require far more care than people think just as big cats, wolves and bears that people think make cool pets.
It is people wanting exotic animals as pets that cause so many problems for their wild brothers and sisters out there. Animals are torn from the wild to become pets (many of them die before they make it) and those that are already captive are more often than not kept and bred in HORRID conditions just so people can make a buck.
Do not be stupid.
If you really love chimps then do things to help them, not make things worse.

Yes there are animal auctions around the US, They keep a low profile though becuase some people frown on the exotic animal trade. Permits are often needed.
