I started up this promotional business with the thought that with low overhead, and cutting out everyone but the factory, I would be able to blow out the competition. Which I have. But the problem is telling people about it! What do you recommend?

Identify your target market, probably big firms which need to give out goody bags n stuff at conferences and expos. Conference organisers would be a good bet. If you could print the name of the seminar giver on the pens, that wld be good. Look up the event organisers in the phone book and either email the appropriate dept or ask for a meeting where you can show off your pens. Since they organise seminars and events for lots of companies, just getting thru to them is equivalent to visiting several individual companies. Hotels are another good bet, cos they rent out their ballrooms or function rooms for seminars and they usually provide writing paper and pen on the tables, so they'd want the name of the hotel on the pen.
