This had to do with military funerals and people using those funerals to say the soldiers deserve to die because they support a country that supports homosexuality. The question. Are christian fundies in this country just as dangerous as muslim extremists?

Those people are radicals. They're nut jobs. They should all be shot as far as I'm concerned.

I believe anyone who takes their religion literally(fundamentalist) is dangerous. Muslims seem to be making the most noise right now, but the Christians were the ones making all the noise just a few years ago. Either way, religion is bad, it's dangerous and I don't see any benefit from religion that couldn't be acquired through common sense and education.

No Christian I have ever met or known agrees with signs that say "Thank God for dead soldiers". These are not christians, just a group of misfits using the term "Christian".

But the answer, until they start loping off head, I'd say they are no where close to being as dangerous as muslim extermists.

Yes and of course the real christians get a beating over a few idiots. Just like the entire Muslim community gets a beating over a few extremists.

No. I have yet to see a single Cristian with a bomb strapped to them yell "Jesus is Lord" and then blow themselves up it a crowded area. Until that happens I suggest that you really examine you supposition for any factual content.

The Christians you speak of are not fundamentalists. They are what is more commonly referred to as a cult. They are extremists but not fundamentalists.

While the fundamentalist does believe that our nation will be judged for its immorality they would not ever celibate the death of soldiers defending the country.

As to whether they are Christians or not I can only say that they are not supported by Christians and most Christians would like to see them arrested and this nonsense stopped.

I have heard of this church. They in no way are an example of the Christian community as a whole. This is so disrespectful and down right mean to the troops surviving family members.

The potential is there, but the numbers aren't because there is not as much religion in government and prayer in the school in America as there is in the middle east.

The Westboro children were probably home schooled and indoctrinated with religious propaganda.

Telling someone what "God thinks" and pretending to know and represent what God thinks is probably one of the greatest of sins. You can use this to convince people to kill each other and themselves.

It is bearing false witness and is taking God's name in vain (using it for your own benefit).

Yes. Christianity as a religion is just as dangerous as Islam, look at its history! Christians, especially fundamentalist ones, are just as willing to sacrifice others or themselves to uphold what they view as the "right" way of being religious. Granted, these are the Fred Phelps people from Kans-***, who have a record of craziness, but still....dangerous and ridiculous. Wrong-headed thinking has consequences, these are some of them.
