Well...I have had a good friend of mine for the past few yrs that is a Italian living in Italy (he speaks good English). Then, all of a sudden he told me that he started feeling pain in his body. After about half a yr, he told me they found a cancer in him but was not worried because he already has a plan for a surgery with a well-known doctor.
Then later, he told me the surgery was not successful and that he was just going through the treatment while planning for a next step.
Now I can't get in touch with him any longer. My emails get returned to me (his email account doesnt exist any longer), his cell phone is disconnected....I have his house and apartment phone numbers but when I contacted the numbers the people who picked up the phone said "No English" and hang up on me so...at this time I really dont know what to do....can anybody share their thoughts on what I should do as a friend?
Im really concerned about him.... sigh

Well he is not my best friend, but like I said, a good friend of mine.
And yes, I do have his house # where his parents live but they dont speak English at all and I dont speak Italian...I dont even know any friends here that speak Italian...thats the thing...

You must have some info on his family if he was your best friend. Try that if you haven't already.

I'm sorry to say it, but it sounds like 'the worst`
has happened.
Find someone who writes Italian and send
a letter asking after him. The family will probably
reply.
