Maybe you should tell her the truth. (But do it nicely) haha I haven't had such an experience, but I can definitely see where you're coming from. Rejection hurts for anyone and it's hard to have to reject someone (sometimes). You seem like a nice guy since you took the time to post a question about it and you obviously don't WANT to hurt her.. so yeah, just tell her that you aren't interested in a relationship. I don't think you'd have to go as far as to say that she's annoying or whatever you described. Yeah.. just be nice and tell her. Good luck with whatever you decide to do!
Next time you post a question like this I'd put it under Singles & Dating because you'll get weird answers here in P&S.

Hell yeah I have! It was my best friend from high school. I always looked at him like a brother, you know? Then all our other friends started pililng on the questions to him like, "You two have so much in common, blah, you two are inseparable, blah, why don't you two date?" I didn't pay it any attention, but my friend must have pondered on it for a long time because that night when he called me he told me he was in LOVE with me!!! Then he asked me out and i reluctantlly accepted because my friends begged me to give it a chance. I never loved him like that, only as a brother and i eventually broke his heart when I cheated on him with someone i was actually interested in. But its cool, we're friends again now, even though sometimes he acts like he still wants to be with me. It'll never happen though, NEVER.

Wow, that sucks for you.
I think you should break it off now. If she likes you THAT much already, it'll just lead her into more heartache if you dump her like...2 weeks later or something.
And I suggest you to post this kind of question in the Relationships area next time. P&S can get out of control and we can give you some seriously crazy answers. Then you'll get mad and...well....yea.

No, I haven't. I wouldn't stay on the phone for two hours with someone I didn't even like!

yes. very uncomfortable. You need to tell you friend that got you into this mess to apologize for giving her the wrong impression and to fix this. This was cruel to the poor girl.

yeah if you don't like her, don't date her. it is called "babysitting" when you don't like the time you spend with your date. next time after 10 mins tell her you have to get off the phone.
