I think they probably have a point. Everyone needs to have some fun, and for those of us who are more retentive, place it on your schedule.

As long as you are staying healthy - away from drugs, unprotected sex, drunkenness...

I too am a serious person. I did very well in school but in relationships I often hold grudges or am shy. I have met many fabulous people but not until I was 24. Some of the people I became good friends with and some I didn't stay friends with for minor money issues. I thought they were taking advantage of me. Others I wish I would have been able to chat more with but was too shy. Today I've had enough experiences I am no longer shy.

Your uptightness sound like your way of protecting yourself.

Your question is very broad. I hope this helps.

Im sorry, but I have to say this:
As a sixty year old man, its very amusing to see you say "I am a very mature person. I am 18 but am told by everyone that I act 22"
To me, 18, 22 and 30 are all the same...

You only get one life.
You should enjoy it to the max.
If you have the maturity to act 22, you can trust
yourself to have some fun with due caution.
If you don't like letting your hair down, thats
your choice too.
If it's not fun for you, why do it?
If it is, go for some!

deffinetly. i'm 24, and i was really uptight, high strung about everything. then i began to to think, ok, what if i didnt do everything perfect, what if i didnt do the dishes for one night or threw my jacket on the closet floor just once in a while, what would really happen? nothing really... so now ive learned to let some small things go and to once and a while just let loose, i feel a lot less stressful. so just think frm now on what would happen, would the world end, no.

Dude, do whatever what makes you happy. We've got one life to live, and why spend it living up to other's expectations. If you enjoy having responsibility, working, not partying, or whatever then do it. Personally, I don't like partys, bars, clubs, or any social scene, I enjoy spending hours doing homework and reading....and it makes me happy and when I was younger, I thought something was wrong with me, but I'm just who I am for many different reasons and all I know now is that I'm more or less happy with my life, as long as you get to that point, then go with it.

Remember, there is a time and a place for everything. Try paying more attention to the situation, and asking yourself if it is appropriate to act mature and composed, or to let loose and be "crazy".

BE YOUR-SELF

If you are happy the way u are, then be it, if you think chilling would not be a bad idea, then have some fun. But remember, once your younger years are gone, they don't come back and you may/may not regret it. So its all ur perception.

Hey just do what you think is right for you.
If you don`t want to be ''crazy'',just stay ''cool''.
You sound like you are a mature person.
For an 18 year that is something.
