99% of the time it's for lyrics. They can be looked up easily on what ever search engine they want to use.
Also, people will ask questions like "ok, well I heard this song at like a football game and it went like, bam bam do do da da, and then it was kinda loud, it was by a girl but it could have been a guy with a high voice, do you know what the song was?"

If it is a case about " I cant remember what its called" or who sings this, it depends on alot of stuff. If you cant remember what a song is called or they lyrics and you are limited in it, then it is hard for us to help you. And also, if you want to know who sings a certain song, many people have re-done older songs so you could have a newer version of a song stuck in your head or vice versa.

it's not questions about songs as a whole, it's when they ask "Can anyone tell me what this song is, it goes something like this, da da da da dum, doo, doo, doo, doo, wah" How are you suppose to answer a question like this. You gotta have some lyrics, please.

Because we are all so damn tired of people asking what songs are - knowing the lyrics. GOOGLE THE GOD DAMN LYRICS. IT'S SO EASY TO LOOK SONGS UP YOURSELF, STOP ASKING US.
