Anorexia

Anorixic beauty queens
They call this perfection?
Storming down a cheap catwalk
Led in the wrong direction.
Magazines scream "diet plan"
The tabloids cry "lose weight"
And girls with low self confidence
Let them decide their fate.
Avoiding their reflection
Denying they are ill
pushing at size zero
Until their hearts are still.
Let's live by the old cliche
True beauty dwells inside
Perfection is a fairytale
So hold your head with pride.

A picture is worth a thousand words. An experience is worth a thousand pictures. The more 'real' something seems to us, the more empathy we have for it. Likewise, when we are trying to consider a matter of which we know little, we find it hard to summon much enthusiasm. If there is no photograph or drawing and just some vague description, we simply turn our attention towards something more interesting. large and small are all, ultimately, about communication. If you now need someone to understand something, draw them a picture or better still, give them an experience they can relate to.

It's brilliant so far, but honestly, 'n I have feeling I will be trashed for even considering to actually say something about this poem that isn't empty, but it kind of rushes to the ending to me. I mean I don't know how it feels to everyone else, but for me, it's like your right in the middle of the story or whatever, right in the middle of saying what you want to say, but then before you can say anything more, your already at the end. We've already passed the finish line.

Other then that, I think it's brilliant. It has a message, and 1 people seem to overlook a lot...

I found no flaws in this work.
The meter is consistent, the word flow excellent, each iamb accented properly, and a subject matter that is right on target. I hope to someday have a friend to write that well of me.
