Pre-Seed and NOTHING else... not even your own saliva! All other lubricants including saliva can kill sperm.

Good luck and Babydust!

Do you know for sure that you NEED to be thinning out your CM? Some people look at their CM and say "there's no way that's so thick" but it's just perfect and if they would leave things alone they would find it easier to get pregnant. IF however you know for sure that it's REALLY too thick like if you've been using clomid or something then what you can do is either use Robitussin(the regular kind) or any kind of decongestant that uses guafinin(sp.) and drink TONS of water or even have a drink. It will help thin out the mucus. Like someone else already said don't use things like KY it won't work and it'll actually prevent the wigglies from swimming upstream.

Wow...guess today is the day to ask about this! This is my answer to you...copied and pasted from two posts I answered just today:

Guaifenesin helps thin mucus in your body, cervical mucus
included. Robitussin is one of the popular OTC medications
that contain this ingredient. If you do choose this route,
be sure to check the label. ***Make sure that the
only active ingredient is the guaifenesin.*** Most stores also carry the pill form. The liquid form is nasty tasting!

The suggested dosage for thinning cervical mucus is two
teaspoons (200 mg) taken orally three times per day. You
should start taking this 5 days before you believe ovulation
to occur and the day of ovulation for a total of 6 days. If
this amount doesn't seem to make a difference in the quality
of your cervical mucus, you can take as much as four
teaspoons (400 mg) four times per day. Every time you take
guaifenesin, you should drink a full glass of water.

Try Robitussin decongestant. It is an expectorant that might help to thin it out a little. Also, if you suspect it is too thick, you may want to talk to your doctor and have a post-coital test done to make sure it isn't hostile to your partner's sperm. If it is, then you should talk to your doctor about trying Intra-uterine Insemination. That is where they take your partner's sperm and wash it to concentrate it, then inject it through a catheter into your uterus to bypass your cervical mucus.

Good luck!

Cervical mucus is described as "hostile" when it is too thick to allow sperm to penetrate the cervix, thereby preventing conception.

Here are some things you can do to improve your cervical fluid:
-Preseed promotes a sperm friendly atmosphere. You insert it 10 minutes prior to having sex. http://www.preseed.com/
-A way to help the hostile cervical mucus problem is to take guaifenesin. Guaifenesin is the active ingredient in Robitussin, and Mucinex - over the counter medicine in the US. Robitussin is a syrup and Mucinex are pills. Read about it here: http://www.fertilityplus.org/faq/cm.html
-drink lots of water
