I've got to know. I've been told by many that my frustration with people who don't believe that Al-Qaeda is a real threat comes from my "insider status" and knowing things about Al-Qaeda that the average citizen does not. I'd be able to stomach that, but I think that the attitude of the American public is directly related to our failure to think critically, conduct reasonable research, and our obsession with partisan politics.
Folks, make no mistake, these folks are trying to kill us and kill our way of life. They seek to build an Islamist Caliphate whose captial would be Baghdad, and from there oppress us all. I'm unloading no secrets. Look it up for yourself. They seek our annihilation. Our goal is to stop this from happening, however the adversary has launched an information campaign that keeps Americans arguing over partisan issues and who should have done what and when. We need to stand together as a country under one flag and fight together for the survival of our way of life.

I agree with kitten. I saw first hand in Iraq for 16 months how much of a threat this organization is to America.

Oh, they're the real deal, without question. Their willingness to take decades and, if necessary, centuries to achieve their aims make them a uniquely powerful adversary.

And al-Qaeda is just the visible tip of the iceberg. The mainstream Islamofascists were royally pissed at bin Laden for, as they put it, "waking the bear" - meaning that 9/11 (and all the other attacks on US assets) was pretty stupid since they were already reaching their goals by burrowing into our societies under the umbrella of multiculturalism.

Too bad for the Brits that they bought that one hook, line, and sinker. They're probably never going to eradicate the infection that they're now suffering from: home-grown Islamofascists with British passports - a genuine nightmare come true!

The French have less enthusiasm for civil liberties and may, if they'll give the Muslims in their country a decent chance at becoming part of the society, have a shot at controlling the enemy within.

You may count me among the many who believe that another major attack on our country will happen sooner or later and that eternal vigilance is our only practical means of defense.

After muslims attacked America on 9/11/2001 I bought and read a koran to see what it really taught because I had heard different things about islam, some saying it is peaceful and some saying it is a religion of violent aggression, and warning of its rise as a threat to civilization. I wanted to know the truth about islam so I read the koran. I found it to be an evil insult to the real God of the Bible and islam to be a false religion that teaches evil and violence. 4:34 in the koran tells muslims to beat their wives. 8:12 tells muslims to chop off the heads of infidels. Muhammad married a 6 year old girl when he was 53. That is not the action of a prophet, it is the action of a pedophile.
For those who defend islam by say I'm taking things out of context I ask you to please tell me what you think is the proper context for wife beating? 4:34 in the koran explains the approved context. Read the whole page that verse is on to make sure I'm not taking it out of context. It says what it says.
America has an enemy that will not stop attacking us untill we militarily defeat them in ways some Americans will scream are barbaric, but when fighting a greater evil, sometimes we must do what would otherwise be evil in order to save civilization from the real barbarians who chop off the heads of tied up hostages, blow up buses on busy streets, and shoot kids in the back as they did in Beslan, Russia.
The world needs to wake up and smell the jihad...

I would like to just provide my opinion for what its worth. Currently this country is in a defensive status against the enemy. We do attempt aggressive roles to preempt possible strikes but the primary goal is to protect the innocent in Iraq just as I believe we would be doing here if not for the convenience of attacking us over there. Not only is this enemy persistent but as we have seen in Israel, Turkey, Philippines, Lebanon, and Europe they are relentless. As we speak Muslim clerics throughout the middle east are turning against the Wahhabism form of teachings the Al Qaida follow. This teaching includes things like cutting the throats of children to keep the parents in line. The clerics have been frightened in the past and until now did not believe we would protect Muslims with this kind of conviction for so long. We have and as a result the media preferred by most of Islam "Al Jazeera" is now under threat by the Taliban and Al Qaida for publicly supporting the role we are playing in the middle east. Please look into these statement of mine before you pass judgment based on propaganda.
