My grandfather not only motivated me to be righteous.. or do I say
My grandfather motivated me not only to be a righteous..
or ... not only did my grandfather motivate me to be a righteous...

im not really great at this grammar stuff. its for a college application essay
i think the third sounds better..

correct this sentence too!
There was nothing wrong with going to a school with white people, after all most of them were my friends, but there was always that feeling of being different that didn’t go away.

i think it might be run on sentence can u condense it for me

my grandfather, motivated me, not only to be a righteous person, but also to be a _____ & _____ as well.(the two blanks arent compulsory).

I studied in a school where there were white people too, most of whom were my friends, but I always had an uneasiness that i was different, which always seemed to linger in my mind.
