I have been trying to find a way to answer your question without offending you too badly, and I’m not succeeding. The teacher didn’t assign you the job of looking for a summary. The teacher did, however, assign your daughter the task of reading this book. Your daughter has known about this assignment for days or weeks in advance, and she chose not to read the book. This is your daughter’s problem, and she needs to face the consequence for her choices – even if that means failing the assignment.
As a parent, I realize that you don’t want your daughter to fail at anything. However, school is your daughter’s first job and it should be taken just that seriously. Babying her and bailing her out, isn’t going to help her when she’s an adult. When she’s 30 years old, are you still going to be supporting her because she can’t complete assignments at work? You have the opportunity to give your daughter a valuable life-lesson here; don’t blow it off the way she blew off her school work!

what the heck is a full length summary - sounds like the full length book-don't save her - make HER do her own homework or pay the consequences for not doing it
