I could actually see the yankees trying to get Miguel Cabrera because he would be reunited with Joe Giradi. I have not heard of the santanna thing.

I think the latter may be more likely, as the Marlins firesale every year and have indicated they'll go all out to keep Dontrelle Willis.

Also, losing an NL infielder, however good he is, isn't the same as trading away a pitcher, especially one who has been as successful as Santana has in the AL.

Plus, it's a case of what the Yankees would have to give up. I honestly don't think the Twins would bite unless they were getting at least two starters from the Yankees, whereas the Marlins previous form suggests they'd be content with prospects.

I can see the Yankees going for Santana. They have the young talent to entice the Twins but we may have to give up a Melky or a Robinson and young pitchers to get him. I don't like Cabrera. He's an atitude ready to happen and may show up out of shape.

even though santana is in the last year of his career, he is the best pitcher in the majors. they would love to get people for him but he is too good i say they keep him and let him go at the end of the year or keep him for half the year and trade him at the deadline

Cabrera is most likely to happen. But I REALLY would love to have Johan on the mound for us.
