most towns or places have set times for things, for here its about 6 or 630 till 8 or 830
prob right after dinner time
and when its starting to just get a little dark outside

In San Diego, trick-or-treating starts when the sun is completely is down or around 9 PM, mainly because most of the houses are lighted or children have glow sticks, and responsible guardians.

Our kids start at 6:00 and end at 7:30
i remember hitting houses right after school and not finishing till way after dark

As early as 4:30 where I am from because it starts to get dark then.

around 6 or 7 for little kids, older kids may be out until around 10.

as soon as u put on ur light. 6 is a good time 2 turn it on, 8 is a good time 2 turn it off. those r the right hours, i think.

It's 6PM to 8PM here.
Though personally I think it's kinda stupid to have it that early... Should be more like 9PM to 1AM. As halloween... it's supposed to be dark and scary. lol.
