It's worth reading for the subject material; however, Lewis did not do a very good job of presenting the information, leading folks who don't read it very closely to completely misinterpret the message he's trying to convey.

Moneyball is a great book and I learned a lot from it. However, I compare it to the run and shoot offence in the NFL. It adds an important element to the game, but if this is all a team does they will spend many Octobers at home watching the playoffs on TV.

I read it when it first came out so forgive me if I don't recall details. But I did enjoy it. It was such an interesting perspective on baseball. I enjoy the business side of baseball and Beane's approach is one way to look at it. It also helped me to understand how the approach of moneyball in the front office works. I think you'll like it. If you aren't sure and don't want to buy it just check it out from your public library for free.

It was brilliant. Couldn't believe how Billy Beane was so open -- he probably can't believe it either -- and it opened up an entirely new viewpoint on the game.

One of the landmark books of the past 10 years.

I do not like the stategy at all. I'm more of a small ball type and don't like the strategy except for that every play counts. Every second of every game matters. Play by play pitch by pitch, go for the win.
