i used to be very particular with spelling/grammar, my own and others', but over the years i've loosened my insistence on that. i still like good english, but as long as i can understand the other person, i don't mind bad spelling/grammar too much.

Just becuse it is a commonly misspelled word. Like their, there, and they're. People just don't think about it and they get confused.

tahts funny, i know!!!! Our pricipal made taht mistake onece, and it was on like 1000 papers!! Only the smart people relized it!!!

Phonetically, "lose" SHOULD be spelled "loose", just like in "choose." "Loose" should be spelled "luice", like in "juice."
Shaw said "fish" should be spelled "ghoti:" "gh" as in "tough", "o" as in "women", and "ti" as in "nation."
