Why are people so concerned about categorizing people by color? In particular, past great leaders and prophets like Jesus. People love to speculate about what color their skin was, but does it really matter? We know what culture they came from, which is a much better clue to their history and beliefs. We all look the same after the flesh is gone. Does it make their accomplishments any better or worse to know what "color category" they fit into?

It seems pretty racist to me, because most of these people lived so long ago, there probably weren't the same "race" classifications as there are today. So where do you draw the line? Is there some standardized color wheel to categorize people's skin pigment that I don't know about?

Besides, we can know for sure what color they were about as well as we can know what color dinosaur scales were.

Maybe everyone's trying to claim them for their own group. But that's as stupid as the colonizers trying to say everyone great who ever lived was white. Like I said, is anyone going to change their mind about them and their accomplishments if you figure out what color their skin was?

I agree with you. Their race doesn't matter. Race has nothing to do with their accomplishments. I haven't seen any questions regarding the race of the devil. We should all stop focusing on a person's race and focus on the person accomplishments and character. Good luck. 2D

Nefertiti probably had dark skin. Jesus, on the other hand, it's a completely different story. Let's not forget that Jesus was a Jew and we all know that Jews have never used to mix with other races. So, even when Jesus was born in the Middle East, we must not forget that he belonged to a very tight-knitted society that only married among themselves. Anyway, you're very right, it's not important at all.

noone knows exactly how he looked, or what color skin he had. but we do know that he wasnt white, or black like some ppl paint him. but then again thats not important, whats important i that he came, preached, and gave his life for us to give us a second chance.

but the color of the skin isnt important its just to set ppl "different" i mean imaging the whole world filled with only white ppl with blond hair and blue eyes. or all balck ppl. life would be boring. or all flowers looking the same. u c? there are just some ppl out there who make colors a big deal on who u are. but its not it s just to make the world more interesting

I feel that since people make every other issue about race and skin color, that this one wouldn't be any different.
