Hubby and I only made it 3 weeks, and I had a severe episiotomy. But it healed well, and we were very careful at first. I just listened to my body. Its VERY easy to get pregnant after you have a baby. I was breastfeeding, on the mini-pill, and we used condoms as well. If you dont want another baby, I recommend using multiples forms of prevention!

i waited like 3 months for the simple fact that it hurt to have sex. so i didn't want to do it. But it is a very high chance of getting pregnant just after you have had a baby.(higher then usual) So i think if you haven't already got yourself on birth control i think that would be a good idea and if you have had unprotected sex and you do fall pregnant again, you will have your hands full Anyways good luck and congrats on the baby i hope everything works out for you

Well, this is a frequently asked question in my office. The answer is, if you have safe sex and use a condom, which you probably should be using anyway. Having sex after giving birth is okay. This is a natural process of life and some people have the need to have intercourse more often than others. It would no hurt to wait, but nothing will happen if you don't.

I waited 8 weeks because my stiches hadn't all dissolved yet. You can ovulate a couple of weeks after giving birth, so you can get pregnant right away. I know someone who had her kids 10 months apart.

My brother's daughters were born:

February 27 1983
February 20 1984

If you are fertile, you will always have to be careful after each pregnancy.

My neices mother ended up having five more babies after that.

So take care of yourself if you don't want to be a baby machine.

Yes you have to wait. Your bottom needs to heal completely. He could hurt you badly. If you are still bleeding from pregnancy you are still healing.
