My kids would go right after school...come home for awhile....then go out again at night...double the candy!!!! Happy Halloween!!

Both. You start as soon as the neighbors have gotten home from work and have the candy ready. You continue until people start running out of candy!

dark! it adds to the scary-ness. plus, its never pitch black out because all the houses are lit up with cool decorations.
