Amazon is usually cheaper, they even got some coupons at http://www.juicycoupons.com/Books---Mags/Amazon-com-Coupons/index.html

I am a member of Amazon Prime- and have been very pleased with every purchase I have made.

If you are buying these items for yourself- you might want to look at the "used and new" listings to see if you can get used items for less, I buy alot of books, and am more interested in the content than the condition, so I look for used books first.

Another helpful thing is to watch for specials on shipping- because shipping costs can add up as well.

I work at Barnes and Noble.....I even tell my customers to shop at Amazon! Its so much better, cheaper, conveniant, sometimes even faster. My job is alright, but the fact that I work with complete @$sholes makes me want to quit soon and never come back or buy from another Barnes&Noble...Go with Amazon! :)

I always shop on Amazon but if Barnes and Nobles has what you what the definitely order it from them, the purchase will be more hassle free.

They are both very relaiable. But personally I would go with Amazon. I order tons and tons of stuff from there, and it has always come quick and exactly what I wanted. Plus they usually have free shipping deals on large orders.

Amazon is the cheapest, for sure. But the best place to order from is your local independent bookstore!

I'd say Amazon. Be leery of some of their used book sellers. I'm disappointed half the time (slow delivery, not in shape advertised, etc).

I like amazon because if you have a problem and need to call them, a human actually answers, instead of a machine.

Amazon!!! I'm new to buying books online and so far they beat any price I've seen elsewhere. You can even sell your books on there when your done with them. =]
