Come on --- If we wore nothing but gloves and ear muffs, you'd be dying to stick your finger in my ear. You don't be fruitful and multiply that way. It's not a matter of knowledge of good and evil, or a knowledge of shame. It's good old procreation, which they did not do until they left the Garden of Eden. In cultures where women do not cover their breasts, breasts are not sexual objects. So nobody will bare it all, we only cover up the naughty bits. But we leave enough showing to titillate.

Many answers given above are correct, but I think its instinct of human being. Human being identified itself to be different from other animals from very beginning of creation. So, it was inherent in human psychology, like a spider makes web without prior knowledge or like a new born sucks nipple without any training. Same way human was born with this inherent instinct to hide some of his body part.

He didn't at first. When winter came he got cold, so he used the fur from his dinner to keep warm. We have evolved into using 'clothes'.

that's a good question, i will say maybe it was cold and they made clothes to be warm and get use to it or like the way it looks on them and kept making more and more with different styles and color.

When he was cold he noticed that a animal next to him helped him stay warm.
So he figured if he killed the animal and took it's fur, he could stay warm all the time.
