I have known businessmen who make good money, but did not pass the 5th grade, can't read, write or spell. Their wife, or lawyer does it all for them. So people don't be mislead when it says you have to have a master's degree. Even these people don't know how to spell and speak as well. Your thoughts.

There are always exceptions to the rule. Learning how to read and write tilts the scales in your favor not against you.

Your point is well taken, however, not "even passing the 5th grade" is something most people would be ashamed about, not proud of. Isn't it better to get along in life having basic knowledge of reading, writing, spelling - in fact, basic knowledge on MANY levels of learning? Don't diss education because some can "hire it out" as you point out...not everyone - not even CLOSE - could afford to do this in life.

Your extreme example is a Masters degree, why? Are you THAT provincial you believe you are uneducated WITHOUT achieving that in a lifetime? -Or you actually believed this from another? Oh pleeaassee tell me that isn't so! There is a great deal to be said for a base education (thru HS) having a lot of common sense AND, life experience. It isn't about "degrees" dear - its about being able to converse and share information with other members of society in making life more interesting, getting along, if not earning a living.

It is good for every human being to strive to open up their world in order to live, cope and succeed at whatever they endeavor to do, by LEARNING - a lifelong mode for some of us who clearly understand, it is, a lifelong journey and even when we leave this earth, we still will not know everything...no one can.

Sincerely,

Grace

Pay someone even more stupid than you to fill out 14 million lottery tickets (with every combination) when the £50 million rollover comes. Take a bank loan for £14 million as 'an investment' and go down to Tesco with the 14 million tickets on a forklift. They will have great fun scanning them in!

Then you are sure to make a profit of 36 million - easy as that. (your stuffed if some other people win too).
