isostatic uplift: rise in the level of the land relative to the sea caused by the relaxation of Ice Age conditions. It occurs when the weight of ice is removed as temperatures rise, and the landscape is raised up to form raised beaches.

First of all, it is ISOSTATIC, not isotatic. It refers to the rise in the level of the land relative to the sea caused by the relaxation of Ice Age conditions. It occurs when the weight of ice is removed as temperatures rise, and the landscape is raised up to form raised beaches. London will sink because if a land mass goes up in the arctic regions, other land mass must come down somewhere else. Additional to this is that as the ice melts, water is added to the sea. Due to global warming, this process will accelerate. You will see gradual shorline loss over the next 100 years. Advise: don't buy property in London.
