What direct empirical evidence do you have that I am certain to die?
Yes, other people have died. But last time I checked, I am not other people. If everyone but you jumped off a cliff would that mean you would have to as well?
No, I am not claiming that I am immune to harm. Quite the contrary. But I seem to have accumulated a huge body of evidence that tells me that in spite of whatever harms occur to me, I manage to pull through.
Nor can you be anywhere near as certain of the future as you claim. As far as you or I know, a cure for aging will be discovered tomorrow. Or simple stem-cell techniques to replace anything that fails on me to better-than-new condition. Or a way to translate my consciousness directly into other mediums. Researchers are working on all these things right now.
No, my friend, anyone who claims to be certain of his own death - much less mine - seems to me to be certain only of making inductive conclusions which are shaky at best.

However you are not sure of what death is. death is just a word. You are also sure of life and living. Being sure of death doesn't matter... it is a part of any life... of any being. the fact that you die will help you make the most of the time you have. having a deadline makes things that much more important.

Wrong! Your birth comes before your death! If you aren't born, you cannot die! The amount of life in between and how it is lived is the one thing we can't guarantee!
