I got a message from this guy i know and i'm so confused! I didnt think anything more of the fact that he invited me!
Sorry to be vague

Yeah i only like him as a friend, nothing more. I didn't go to the cinema with him cos i had other plans. But when he invited me, he told me he was going with his friends and if i wanted to go aswell, that'd be cool. I honestly didn't see this as anything, and I told him that i thought nothing more of the fact that he asked me...aaah, guys!!

The most annoying thing about guys is that you just never really know what they are thinking or feeling without them telling you. So many boys represent different feelings and emotions in different ways, i can see how you would be confused. The best advice i can give you is to try and find out if he likes you, you could have a friend ask (not the best idea cause he might lie) , you could ask ( not my personal fave, but i'm shy), or you can do what my friend did, she asked one of our guy friends she liked for a long time how he felt about her using an anonomous message from http://hikkup.com and he said he liked her as more than a friend but didnt know how she felt about him and that made him nervous to say anything, after she knew he liked her it was a lot easier to talk to him about it. Good Luck and if you need anything dont hesitate to contact me on here.

It sounds like this guy could be very self-conscious and worried about how people - or at least you - see him. Why not just tell him that you thought it was a nice thing that he invited you, even though you didn't accept?

Now, I'm assuming that you didn't accept because if you did, he'd be too happy to get worried!

Maybe I'm wrong - but if you turned him down, you might like to think whether anything in the way you turned him down might have made him think he came across as creepy or pushy. Some people are very sensitive, and it's easy to hurt or worry those people unintentionally. If you think you might have given him the wrong impression, then just telling him that it was nice of him to invite you will reassure him.

Guys have a very hard time asking girls out. It takes a lot of courage and confidence to risk getting turned down. This guy must really like you to be so concerned that you don't get the wrong impression about him, so be kind and let him know you appreciated his asking you.

He means that he thought you got the wrong impression from inviting you to the cinema and he doesn't want you to get hurt in anyway by thinking there's more than friendship in the invite. I'd let him know straight that you didn't think anything more of it. I think it's nice that he could be honest with you, makes for a very trustworthy friendship.

Difficult to know without knowing the situation, but if a mate asked me the same question I would say he most probably invited you as a friend. he also seems to be, in my opinion, cares about your feelings and how you see him.

Dont want to jump to any conclusions as i say I dont know the situation, but I think he might like you a bit more than just a friend and is a bit shy and nervous about how he is coming across, not wanting to directly ask you out in case he made an *** of himself. Friends wise first always a bit more comfortable.

good luck hope this helps

I think he thinks he may have over stepped the mark in inviting you out. He maybe feels that if you are not interested in him in this way, you might back off. Just go to the cinema with him and see where things go from there.

From the information you've given sounds like he thought you liked him and doesn't feel the same way.

I think he was being friendly & hopes that you didn't take it as him trying to ask you out on a personal date.
