Debating evolution with a creationist is like playing chess with a pigeon. It knocks all the pieces over, poops on the board, and flys back to its flock to claim victory.

Well, a half ape, half human creature would actually prove evolution wrong. Why would there be a creature that was half of two different species?

And if I put you in medieval times, you would be a super human since you are much taller then they were.

Why is it that people (followers of a certain religion) can't grasp that evolution deals with the reality that exists in nature, not the fantasy that they believe in their minds. Show me a place where evolution predicts half ape half human creatures (that aren't wearing religious apparel) and I'll show you a creationist site trying in vain to discredit what has already been accepted as true.

There is evidence of many different ancestors of man. Try searching for "paleoanthropology", "homo erectus", "human ancestors", etc.

There are no creatures evolved beyond human because humans have learned to modify their environment. Evolution happens when creatures adapt to their environment, and can compete better against those that have not adapted. Once a creature can change the environment, no further change in the creature is necessary. Why spend thousands of years evolving bigger legs to run faster when you can just get in a car or plane and travel thousands of miles in a day?

By your complete misunderstanding of evolution, you have just disproved a heavily-backed scientific theory, and have changed the natural laws of life and the universe!

Is that what you want to hear?

If you are looking for a "missing link", keep in mind that the theory does not state modern apes evolved into modern humans. Rather, a common ancestor branched off into different species, which in turn either died off or evolved into the modern apes (we are apes actually). Evidence of this is seen in the fossil record.

What is it about the concept of evolution that leads you to believe that there should be "half ape half human creatures" and "super humans"?

Because Evolution isn't true. We're all descended from a guy name Noah that built a REALLY big ark and put two of every animal in it... He had sex with his wife and all his children and repopulated the earth. He had to, because the loving and caring god that looks after this planet got pissed off and wiped out EVERYTHING on it, just because he felt like it. Isn't that alot easier and more comforting to believe?

of course, if THAT'S true, shouldn't there be a evidence of some REALLY BIG ARK somewhere?

Heck, I don't know what to believe now!

based on the phrasing of the question I can tell you don't really believe evolution. what makes you think you are smarter than 99% of the world's scientists that accept it? do you have any real scientific credentials of your own? if you don't accept evolution, why don't you refuse medical treatment the next time you need it? after all, evolution is important for all branches of science.

Check our classification. We're great apes. As for superhumans, last time I checked, Chuck Norris was still alive.
