NO she shouldnt be deprived, she just shouldnt do it in excess. Just because someones a mom does not mean they dont get to have fun anymore. Make sure baby is cared for and go have a good time once in a while. However if this is an everyday or every single weekend then i dont think that is being too good of a mom.

I wouldn't think of it as being deprived. A person with a child had to make the choices that she did to get pregnant. Therefore it is her responsibility to stay at home and take care of a child. If you do want to look at it as being deprived, then you kind of have to look at it as your own fault. Motherhood can be a very fun thing. I think it's okay to go out every once in a while for a reprieve, if you can make the necessary arrangements to do so. But don't think of it as a punishment, think of it as, "I now have something better to do with my time." If you had a kid young, like I did, just remember that your child will be 18 before you are 40, so you can do your clubbing then. You will even have more money then than you do now!!

The decision to have a baby usually indicates that you are mature enough to put someone else ahead of yourself, to make sure their needs are met before yours. A baby isn't like a toy that can be put away when it's not convenient for you to play with, or care for. That's not to say that you can't go out and have fun, that's an important part of you being a happy and healthy mom, but the baby comes first.

They wouldn't be deprived, but if you're young enough to still go to clubs and have a kid that's young like that then it's YOUR responstiblity to be with them until they are one or two, and get to know the family better, then it's ok-ish to go out once a week with your friends for one night until everything is fine and the family is really close and stuff. =]

She should not be going to clubs if she has a young child that needs her. Once you have a child it means thinking of the baby first instead of yourself. There will be plenty of time for clubs, but your child is only young once.

Not if she gets a good babysitter and spends enough time with her baby, but if she is going out leaving the baby with unqualified sitters and too tired to hear the baby cry or wake up, then she is not being a good parent.

Kids are always first. But you should also find some time for you. It is a balancing act. Get on the tightrope.
