TOTAL SCAM - Do not believe anything they tell you.
Look here for several consumer reports of being ripped off:

If you want to be a model, check legitimate modeling agencies for their submission and open call requirements.

Start here:
http://www.fordmodels.com/main.cfm - click on ‘global scouting’
http://www.elitemodel.com/flash.html - click on ‘be discovered’

But any legit agency will tell you what their physical requirements are and you do not need pro photos and an extensive portfolio to start with. It will come with experience.

good luck,
Marianne

A random phone call is always the best way to tell if it's a scam or not. I think it's safe to say send all the money they want. I'm sure you are aware of all the top models that have been discovered by receiving a phantom phone call. The list is to long to list here. How could anybody think online or phone solicits are scams? If it sounds to good to be true than it's true. Go for it.

When a business calls you, without you having called them first...it means they want to sell you something. It never means ANYTHING else.

You may very well have acting talent or modeling potential. Who could say, without seeing you. That's the point---John Casablancas hasn't seen you either. Yet they want you to come in. Guess why.

And if you do have acting talent or modeling potential, you don't need their lessons in order to get anywhere.

a real agency that's ACTUALLY interested in useing you as a model will want to make money OFF OF you. not FROM you. it's most likely a scam. depends on what they say, if they're asking for money, a scam. if they're making an offer to meet/interview you then take a friend (i recomend a guyfriend or boyfriend/fiance/husband or close relative) and talk to them.

Scam. What did they say? I like laughing at these things.............! In the phone book our surname is spelt wrong. Some scammer rang us up and we knew it was a scam because they said the surname how it is in the phone book, not our real one. My sister picked it up and the person asked top speak to our mum. But they said the surname wrong, so my sis knew it was a scam and said "Sorry, shes in jail for killing the last person that tried to scam us!" lol, it was funny.

not to be rude, but they will sell their services to anyone. There was a girl in my high school that they had convinced was going to be the next Cindy Crawford...and she had a hunchback.

True story.

It is a total waste of money...if someone wants to represent YOU, a legitimate service would work on a contingency fee, never make you pay.

Most legitimate contacts are the ones you make yourself.

I would say SCAM here.

They want money. It is not promised you will be a model overnight, but their gimmick sounds like it. Avoid it if you can't afford it.
