well technically it's tacky to dress up as any other race or culture as you're making fun of that particular culture.
Our culture is very politically correct about African Americans much more so than Muslims, but the idea is really no different than if you dressed up as a Black person or a Jewish person.
Funny potentially, but tacky yes.

well i hope you did it cause that would have been cool, last night i was dress as a ghost.........actually it was a KKK uniform so that was fun, you should have seen the look of people of color, but they still gave me candy. anyways in the end i did get chase by a gang of blacks so i ran really fast and as i made a turn into another street i found a homeless man, so i punch him and put my costume on him. i hid behind some dumpster and got to see the best beating in a long time. it was funny to see when they took the costume out and saw that it was a homeless black guy......well what was left of him............LMAO. aaaahhh it's good to be young. =]

Tacky? Yes.
If you're going to a party or out trick-or-treating, you never know if a Muslim will see you and be offended. Why would you want to offend someone else's religion?

Watch out for the stoning, it may be against Muslim rules to mock their culture on Halloween!

Depending on the wherabouts and circumstances, it might be beyond tacky to the point of offensive or unsafe.
You wouldn't want anyone mistaking you for a terrorist would you? I would think Muslims would find this a big insult as well.

yes, i would'nt do that. It could potentially be interpreted as racist, and may be hurtful to muslim individuals if they feel they have been portrayed incorrectly or poked fun at.
